Experience Matters. Leadership Matters.

Award3

Serving as Scott County Attorney requires more than legal knowledge—it demands accountability, professionalism, and a commitment to leading a strong, effective team. Voters deserve a clear understanding of the experience, judgment, and leadership each candidate brings to this role.

Commitment and Accountability: The County Attorney position is a full-time leadership role that requires collaboration, presence, and dedication to the team.

My opponent, Todd Zettler,  previously served in this office, earning a salary of $177,685, yet did not consistently meet the expectations of a team-oriented, full-time position. There were ongoing challenges with collaboration, adherence to office expectations, and engagement with the team—including resistance to in-office work requirements that are essential to effectively serving in this role. When he left in November 2024, the office continued its work seamlessly, with existing staff absorbing his responsibilities without disruption. This speaks volumes about the strength, professionalism, and resilience of our team. Since that time, he has also left another County Attorney’s office and is now seeking to return here in a leadership capacity—asking to lead the very people he previously refused to assist.

Leadership requires showing up, contributing, and standing with your team. Those are the standards this office must uphold every day.

Readiness and Professionalism: The role of County Attorney requires maturity, sound judgment, and a demonstrated ability to work within a professional, non-partisan structure.

My opponent, Allen Anderson,  spent a brief period early in his career in this office. During that time, there were challenges related to meeting deadlines, responding to supervision, and working productively within the expectations of a legal team. While professional growth is important, leadership positions demand a proven track record of accountability, consistency, and the ability to work constructively with others. He currently works in another county’s office and is now asking voters to entrust him with leading Scott County’s team. Although he may suggest otherwise, his campaign has sought support from political party organizations.

The Office of County Attorney should remain non-partisan—focused solely on justice, public safety, and serving the entire community. I will continue to serve all residents of Scott County fairly and independently, without being beholden to any political party or select group. This position requires not just ambition—but readiness, independence, and a commitment to serving everyone equally.

As your County Attorney, I have built my career on experience, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to public safety.

  • Commitment to Public Safety– I believe every case matters and every victim deserves a voice.
  • Strong Law Enforcement Partnerships– I work closely with law enforcement to ensure our community remains safe.
  • Innovative Programs– I founded initiatives like Veteran’s Court and community outreach efforts focused on prevention, education, and second chances.
  • Advocate for Families and Community Safety– From combating drug use among youth to raising awareness of exploitation and online safety, my focus remains on protecting our community.
  • Military Veteran– My 20 years of service in the U.S. Navy instilled the discipline, integrity, and leadership I bring to this office every day.

Just as importantly, I believe the Office of County Attorney must remain non-partisan. This role is about justice—not politics. It requires independence, fairness, and the ability to serve every resident equally, regardless of background or affiliation. I am not beholden to any political party or select group. My responsibility is to the people of Scott County—and that is who I will continue to serve. I have dedicated my career to fighting for justice and protecting this community, and I remain committed to continuing that work with integrity, independence, and strong leadership.
